Writing the lives of people and things, AD 500-1700: An interdisciplinary conference

Registration is still open for this early-career conference at Chawton House Library hosted by the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Culture, University of Southampton, due to take place on 1-2 March 2012. The theme for the two days is interdisciplinary approaches to biography in the study of the medieval and early modern periods, and includes a key-note lecture from Charles Nicholl, the acclaimed author. It will bring together postgraduates and early-career researchers from Archaeology, History, Art History, English, and Music, with sessions including ‘The lives of objects and their owners’, ‘Lives on Stage’ and ‘Rescuing forgotten lives’.
